Help our neighbor, Darci, feel safe again!

On June 27th, 2019, our disabled 55 year old neighbor, Darci Damrau was the sole victim of a violent 90-minute home invasion, with numerous threats if being killed during the ordeal if she didnt comply.  Her legs, hands and mouth were duct taped and she was forced to lie face down on a bed while the suspect proceeded to ransack her entire house, stealing and breaking whatever got in his way until he left.  She lost all of her valuable possessions including her car, jewelry, TV, and cash/credit cards, not to mention her sense of security in her home.   Four days later, damaged but drivable, the local police found her vehicle and returned it to her.  On July 5, while parking her car in her garage, she was approached by four youths who punched her in the face three times with a closed fist, fracturing her cheek and jaw bones, separating her septum and giving her a concussion.  The suspects took off with her car after the assault.   Again her car was located, only this time it was demolished after it was driven through a garage and into a tree and totalled.  Due to her very limited income and only liability insurance on her car, she has no means to replace it.  She has been left with very few undamaged items in her house, no vehicle, and no sense of security.  As she has no health insurance, her doctor bills are going to pile up as a result of the battery to her face.  Darci cannot afford another car, nor can she afford to replace the items in her home that were stolen or broken during these crimes.  She has private pay health  insurance and those costs will be astronomical.  She has not worked in over 10 years due to a serious health condition.  She receives some government assistance, i.e. food card.   She is cash poor, yet asks nothing of her neighbors.  Her neighbors are now trying to help her get back on her feet but her needs exceed our capabilities.   As our neighbor lives alone, she feels vulnerable to being another victim in her home.  We would like to raise money for a home security system for her house, a new used car, and funds to replace the necessary items she lost in the home invasion.  Darci is a very sweet woman, who is a good neighbor and needs financial help now to get her life back in order and find some sense of security in her own home again.
