My name is Brian, and I am a 100% Disabled Veteran living on social security. Recently, I was bitten five times on my hand by a copperhead snake, which put me in the ICU for five days. This unexpected emergency has left me unable to use my left hand, and I am now facing a long road to recovery. Before this happened, I made ends meet by working on vehicles and powersports for others, but my injury has stopped me from doing any of that work. As a result, my ability to cover regular living expenses has been severely impacted, and I am unsure of the full extent of the medical bills and medication costs I will face. 
 
My fiancée is my caregiver and my rock. She has always supported me, especially as I manage a traumatic brain injury and other medical issues from my military service. Her help has been essential during this difficult time, and I am grateful to have her by my side. While I am thankful to be home and resting, the uncertainty of my recovery and the financial strain are overwhelming. 
 
This experience has given me a new perspective on how precious life is. I have children and grandchildren who mean the world to me, and I am determined to recover so I can be there for them. My recovery will take months, and any support will help me and my fiancée manage the challenges ahead. Thank you for considering helping us during this difficult chapter.
