Diosmiry's College Tuition Fund

Life strikes you sometimes and other times it can beat you down unconscious. Life beat me down with the passing of my father in December. What he wanted the most for me was a college education. While he was in his hospital bed in pain from cancer and brain tumor he never stopped pushing me to continue. It was the worst time of my life. I literally saw his life drifting away and he got skinny as I ever seen him. It hurt so much to see him in all that pain. It took everything that I had to pull myself together. I missed his funeral because of my final exams. I don't regret it because I know that is what he wanted. He wanted for me to be the first in the family with that diploma.

After his passing I found it hard to defend for myself. He was the only one to support me financially because he was a single father taking care of me. Now I'm all by myself and I never know how tough life can really get. I can't afford tuition, housing or my school supply. And now I feel like I'm going to fail and missing his funeral was for nothing.

I can't give up... I'm too close to the finish line...

If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have the stomach to ask for all of you to help me. But he gave me the strength. He always has.

As you can tell by the title my name is Diosmiry (Dios), and I am a senior at Rutgers University majoring in Landscape architecture. I thank you all for taking the time to read my post and any donation will make a difference.
