Dione is an exceptional Cardiac Nurse at Providence St. Joseph. Since beginning work as an RN on 2G Cardiology she has embodied qualities of both a leader and mentor. She appreciates each and every opportunity to assist students and new nurses in the formation of a solid nursing career. Dione demonstrates a selfless, transformational style of leadership - nurses that work alongside Dione have nothing but the highest praise for her!
The past few years have served as an extremely trying point in Dione’s life. She persevered through a cancer diagnosis and came out a SURVIVOR! Now in 2019, she faces a new challenge.. open heart surgery and the recovery to follow.
As a colleague and close friend of Dione’s, I created this GoFundMe in an effort to alleviate some of the financial stressors caused by her heart surgery. My goal is to create a community of support for Dione as she begins the recovery process.
Sen Nguyen (2G Cardiology RN) & I will be running the 2020 Shamrock Half Marathon together to symbolize our support for Dione. The half marathon will take place near downtown Portland on March 15th, 2020.
Sen and I hope to motivate our coworkers, friends & family to donate money for each mile we complete in Dione’s honor. Any kind words or financial contributions will be greatly appreciated. All money will go directly to Dione to assist in her recovery! The plan is to keep the GoFundMe running until the start of 2020.
