The Dingwall Brothers Ben Nevis Challenge

I am Gary Dingwall and myself and my brother Lee Dingwall, in partnership with Ross County F.C., plan to scale Ben Nevis on Saturday 26th September 2020 to make a difference for men with early stage prostate cancer.
We are raising money in aid of Prost8 UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution as this cause means so much to so many men.
It is a sad fact that each and every year in the UK about 48,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and about 11,500 of those will die, mostly due to late diagnosis.
However, one other avoidable tragedy is that another 12,000 of those men will be diagnosed with early stage, treatable prostate cancer - BUT will still receive the same invasive and life changing treatments as those with advanced cancers (radiotherapy or surgery)!
This is despite the availability of newer, minimally invasive treatments such focal therapy that targets just the tumour with high intensity ultrasound (heating and destroying just the cancerous cells) or cryotherapy (freezing and killing the tumour).
Prost8 UK are raising funds to create awareness of these new NHS approved treatments which are sadly not being rolled out fast enough. The plan is to buy, donate and deploy focal therapy suites into strategic NHS hospitals across the UK to accelerate access to these amazing new treatments for as many of those 12,000 men as is possible.
Lee, myself and Ross County F.C. plan to help them succeed....
(coincidentally our namesake town of Dingwall is home to Ross County FC)
How?
Well to start with, Lee and I will scale Ben Nevis, the tallest peak in Scotland (and indeed the entire UK) at 1345m to raise as much as we can to benefit Prost8 UK, with your support. More challenges will follow until we have done everything possible for this cause.
Remember, charities like Prost8 UK have seen donations and income from events all but eliminated this year due to Coronavirus, so they need every bit of help we can give to allow them to keep on doing the great work that they do.
