Dine 11 Marin: Help Feed & Support Neighbors

Dine 11 Marin supports our beloved local restaurants, feeds our most vulnerable and food insecure residents and nourishes our local healthcare heroes during the COVID-19 crisis. By united our community in collectively addressing these acute needs, Dine 11 Marin applies 100% (less GoFundMe fees) of tax-deductible donations (to the extent allowable by law) to its win-win model in order to comfort each other, heal and thrive as one Marin.
Our local restaurants play an essential role in shaping and enabling the community we love in Marin and our neighborhoods. By investing in our restaurants, Dine11Marin supporters are helping restaurants and their employees survive this crisis while providing delicious meals to families who are food insecure and to crucial healthcare staff working tirelessly on the front lines.
Here's how we work. With generous tax-deductible donations from the community, Dine11Marin places take-out orders for between 25-100 meals from local restaurants, all of which are struggling because of shelter-in-place restrictions. Volunteer drivers then deliver the packaged meals to 1) food pantry centers in the Canal and Venetia Valley neighborhoods and 2) our life-saving Marin-based senior living facilities and hospitals.
Dine11 Marin also supplements food pantry distributions with $20 meal gift certificates that can be redeemed at Canal-based restaurants. Many of the Marin's immigrant families have been particularly hard hit and disproportionately impacted by the economic crisis resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. A large number of these families will not have access to any of the government sponsored relief programs currently underway. By funding take-out meals from a variety of local restaurants in the Canal, Dine 11 Marin supporters can help families and restaurants navigate through this crisis. Dine11 Marin's restaurant gift certificates aim to close this gap and ensure that every person in line receives a meal.
