Dimitri's Hurricane Relief

Hello,
Three weeks ago after Hurricane Irma ravished the small island of St.Maarten I received a phone call from a dear friend. The phone call was a plea for help, to see if I could watch after his son, Dimitri, during the long and difficult rebuild.
Last Saturday September 30th my wife, Shell, and I were finally able to open our doors to Dimitri. He took his first hot shower and had his first hot meal since before the Hurricane hit on September 5th. The family has been living without water or electricity. Phone calls must be made from a special center set up with internet service. The only food has been canned food in small rations which they are unable to heat up.
While his father is too proud to ask for anything more, other than me looking out for his son, I know the family desperately needs help. I have talked to Dimitri about the horrifying hours during the storm and how everything they owned has been destroyed.
Dimitri is the sweetest boy who did not deserve this curve ball being thrown into his life. He is currently number one in his class and aspires to be a boat mechanic, so he can help the local fisherman which includes his father repair their boats. He is appreciative of the smallest things, and will not even pour out a glass of tap water. He makes his bed every morning and is even helping me at Mr.Squeegy. He truly wants to feel like he is earning his stay and not being given a free ride. I cannot say enough about this boy and how wonderful he is.
I am asking you all to find love in your heart and to donate something small in order to make a giant impact on this boy and his family's life. Money raised will go towards repairs to their home and Dimitris college fund. Most importantly it will go towards his father being able to repair his fishing boat and traps so he can once again provide income and food for his family.
