We're raising money to help fund our senior capstone Dilemma. When you donate, your contribution will first and foremost go towards paying for the financial expenses of securing a location and providing the cast and crew with meals. Additionally, your generous support allows us to craft and acquire more professional production design materials. Props that look like the real thing and the little details that turn a set into an organic feeling space.
Our campaign needs to be met by January 20th, 2021 in order to meet our shoot dates.
When we first envisioned Dilemma one year ago, we always intended it to be something to stir discussion. When the effects of COVID began to be felt in March of 2020, we realized that this film's message would have to grow because life had seemingly imitated art. As a result, this project is much more ambitious than previously planned, though it seems fitting as it is also our senior project. COVID has changed a lot of things, but it has only emboldened our desire to create art that communicates something meaningful to an audience. The cast, crew and I would truly be honored if you would accompany us on this journey by supporting this project. Thank you and stay safe everyone.
The film centers around Riley, A college graduate juggling her finances, who is forced into an uncomfortable situation when it is revealed to her insurance provider that she has pre-existing conditions.
Meet Our Crew!
Ryan Anderson (Director): Ryan is a Film and Media Production major with a concentration in directing at Arizona State University. His creative focus is geared towards topics that involve social inequality and misaligned historical events
Cathryn Newsom (Producer): Cathryn Newsom is a Film and Media Production major with a focus in producing. She loves to work on films and helps in any way possible as long as she is a part of the creative process. Newsom is extremely excited to be part of the team and see Dilemma come full circle from script to screen.
Wid Yarreb (Cinematographer): Wid is an experienced and passionate cinematographer with strong attention to detail with knowledge about different aspects of filmmaking from lighting design to post-production. Her work tends to merge social reformation and cultural aspects through visual storytelling.
Carson Schillings (Editor): Carson Schilling is a Film and Media Production Major with a concentration in editing at Arizona State University. He has been interested in film his entire life and loves studying the art of editing.
