My mother, Diane Diksavati Normand went into liver failure three weeks ago and has been suffering greatly ever since.
She was diagnosed with liver sclerosis five years ago; we think this is the cause of her current situation but we’ve received very different diagnoses from doctors.
Currently, local doctors are trying to find the right medication to keep her as comfortable as possible. She’s meeting with a liver specialist from Stanford later this month and working with a Chinese Medicine Liver specialist to reduce symptoms. Ultimately, it looks like she will need a liver transplant.
Her condition is is not bad enough to keep her admitted in the hospital but her condition is too unstable to be left alone.
My father, Sarvabhavana Owen Normand has been taking care of her 24/7 and needs financial support for medication, living expenses and to hire a caregiver.
Both of my parents have been actively participating in our community for over forty years; being of support to anyone in need. Now, they need your support.
