Digital Health Week Fundraiser

Digital Health Week is from November 16, 2020 to November 22, 2020 and is an annual celebration and recognition of how digital health is transforming the delivery of care across Canada. As more of our health care system becomes digital, it is important that we understand the importance of this change and support non-profit organizations such as Canada Health Infoway that promote digital health solutions. In fact, Canadian hospitals have benefited approximately $35 billion from digital health investments since 2007. In addition, one in three visits with health care providers are now virtual amid the Covid-19 pandemic, with an 83% satisfaction rate among Canadians who use the virtual care services. Also, 86% of primary care physicians use electronic medical records, indicating the prevalence of digital health in Canada.

We, the McMaster Neuroscience Society understand the importance of digital health services and would like to introduce a fundraiser in support of Digital Health Week. We ask McMaster students with an interest in arts to submit a creative piece that is designed to promote Digital Health Week and educate the general public on the significance of digital health services in Canada. We will donate your submissions and any monetary donations to Canada Health Infoway and hospitals across Canada. We have linked a google form for any submissions of artwork. We thank you for investing your time, creative ability and money into promoting Digital Health Week and encourage you to read the stories of Canadians that have had their lives changed as a result of digital health services. #ThinkDigitalHealth
