Digger's rising vet bills !

I'm putting this fund together to help my friend Charlene out with her boy Digger. As most of you know, Charlene has three pups who are her life. She got Digger from the Humane Society when he was a pup, he's now a little over 10 years old. Last week he was having some issues and the doctor diagnosed him with Diabetes Ketoacidosis, which is a very serious condition and she was urged to take him to the emergency hospital ASAP in Tampa or he could die.

He's been there since Thursday evening. She's been shuffling him back and forth and spending hours on end in the hospital with him and while some levels have gone down some other things aren't falling into place. From talking to her she's beyond overwhelmed and stressed about Digger but more stressed about the growing vet bills. She refuses to put him down because of money and isists she'll add more work hours. The vet said if they can get over this hurdle she can manage this from home with insulin and a strict diet and monitoring blood sugar, etc. It will take continuing medical treatment but minimal once this is under control.

One vet will help by taking a payment plan but the other one won't and the specialist needs to do an ultrasound and wants payment upfront. I wanted to reach out to her many friends and fellow animal lovers who, like me, want to help her and don't know how. She's not comfortable with this but she needs help and I know Charlene has helped so many people in her life. Every single dollar counts and is appreciated more than you can imagine.
