 Mijn naam is Ouafila en ik zamel geld in voor een doel dat mij enorm aan het hart gaat: een professionele dierenopvang in de Rif, Marokko.

 In de Rif leven ontzettend veel katten en honden op straat. Wanneer zij gewond, ziek of ondervoed raken, is er nauwelijks opvang of medische hulp beschikbaar.

 Al langere tijd volg ik Mohamed Azghanghan, een grote dierenvriend uit de Rif. Met de middelen en donaties die hij ontvangt, helpt hij zwerfdieren met voeding, verzorging en medische hulp. Zijn grote droom is het openen van een professioneel dierenasiel.

 Hiermee willen we een veilige en professionele opvang realiseren met verblijven voor katten en honden, een behandel en operatieruimte voor een dierenarts, medicijnen en goede verzorgingsmogelijkheden.

 Een belangrijk onderdeel wordt sterilisatie en castratie, zodat we niet alleen dieren redden, maar ook het aantal zwerfdieren en het dierenleed structureel verminderen.

 We willen hierbij samenwerken met de lokale overheid, dierenartsen en Nederlandse dierenwelzijnsorganisaties, zodat de opvang een duurzaam project wordt dat jarenlang kan blijven bestaan.
