Diego needs your help, for surgery

Diego, is a three year old male Bernese Mountain Dog, that I took into my home 10 months ago to save him from being euthanized.
Diego came to me covered with severe staph infection, hot spots, eye and ear infections.
He has extremely loose hocks that pop sideways and forward, causing him pain, and discomfort. He is unable to run and play as a young dog should.
His eyes are also entropy (inverted eye lids) and need to be operated on or will eventually cause blindness. They are very uncomfortable for him now and his eyes are often swollen because of the lashes rubbing on his eyes. I did not realize until after accepting him, that he is intact, both of his testicles did not drop. This also must be address quickly for fear of cancer.
I have managed to have him treated for all the infections and brought him back to good health. I also bought him leg braces to help with his walking.
I am unable to go any further. I cannot cover the cost to have his testicles removed, eyes fixed, and his legs x-ray to see what could be done for him in the future.
I am ex-military and live on a small CPP disability pension, that cannot possibly absorb this kind of cost.
My vet quoted approx. $1,600.00 for the surgeries and x-rays..
Diego is a real love bug, as kind and sweet as they get. He always trys to play and be happy. I want to give this boy a chance at a pain free, happy, joyous life.
But I cannot do this myself.
He.., needs your help, so he can walk without pain, and enjoy the life he should have.
It would be a dream come true to get him the surgeries he needs, and see him pain free and happy.
A little can go a long way to helping Diego.
