Send our Veterans to Kennedy Center

DIAVOLO's Veterans Project is unique because it is already saving lives.

DIAVOLO| Architecture in Motion®, founded 25 years ago by Artistic Director Jacques Heim, is a non-profit 501(c)3 known for its awe-inspiring athleticism recently featured on Season 12 of America's Got Talent.

The Veterans Project is a movement program for U.S. Veterans and was originally conceived by DIAVOLO Executive Director Jennifer Cheng. This program has the gigantic opportunity to present its work at The Kennedy Center on February 23rd & 24th, 2018. We need your help to get our veterans to our nation's capital and to help expose this work to policy makers!

Inspired by Sebastian Junger's novel TRIBE and the rich stories of the veterans in our own community, The Veterans Project paints an abstract landscape colored with themes of brotherhood, heroism, renewal, solidarity, healing, and a fierce sense of inner strength.

In this time of uncertainty, when the country is pulled apart, and the people are divided, DIAVOLO believes it is very important to focus on projects that not only help and support others, but also bring people together.

Veterans are one of the most displaced communities in the U.S. These individuals have sacrificed so much for our country yet remain underserved. Approximately 20 U.S. veterans commit suicide every day. The Veterans Project aims to address these issues by working directly with veterans. Through this project, we can truly help our heroes.

The Veterans Project is a fully produced theatrical presentation that immerses U.S. Veterans with little or no dance experience into an environment that inspires trust and teamwork, creating a piece of theater through authentic movement.

DIAVOLO is looking to you to sponsor our veterans to showcase their work around our country. With your support, DIAVOLO will be able to bring our 16 veteran participants to The Kennedy Center to present the 30-minute work "A Long Journey Home".
