Medical Funds for Endometriosis

Donation protected
Hi everyone,I have a disease called endometriosis. The most detrimental, common, and unheard of disease.Normally, the lining of a woman’s uterus grows on the inside only. With endometriosis, the lining of the uterus grows and attaches itself to multiple organs, can create cysts, depression/anxiety, causes severe periods with severe cramps, can cause infertility, etc. I was diagnosed I believe in 2012-2013 through a laparoscopic surgery in San Diego, California. The endometriosis tissue was wrapped around multiple of my organs. Unfortunately, the doctor who performed my surgery can not locate my records aka he has LOST them... and the hospital where the procedure was done closed and they are also unable to locate my records. The records are very helpful for further procedures that may have to be done... The disease came back not sure exactly when but I started to notice a bump/nodule in my belly button in mid 2017. It continued to grow... and be very painful. I was misdiagnosed for MONTHS trying to find out what it was. Multiple doctors, hospitals, bills... it’s been a rough road. They did a biopsy on the nodule to see what it was. The nodule in my belly button grew blisters and I couldn’t do much of anything for about a week because it was so painful. Some of the WORST pain I’ve ever felt tbh. I finally went to see a surgeon and we made a plan to have it removed out of my umbilical. I had surgery about a month ago. They removed the belly button and reconstructed it to make it somewhat normal looking..and it was in fact Umbilical Endometriosis. Which is very rare. The tissue had grown from inside my uterus alll the way to my belly button..It’s been very traumatizing having my belly button removed and having a scar on my stomach.. not to mention the pain. Emotional and physical pain. I have been healing from this surgery and now the incision has not healed up properly just yet and is infected. It’s swollen, itchy, burning, the incision is still open, etc.I’m planning on paying a visit to the hospital today to get it taken care of because this infection can not sit and brew over the weekend or wait ANY longer. My partner had to demand the receptionist at my surgeons office to PLEASE have a surgeon call me and try and help. Otherwise they were not very willing to fit me in and help me.. hence why I’m going to a hospital today.Eventually after my incision on my abdomen heals I will have to get an excision surgery which i will have a specialist in this disease to go in and go in DEEP and remove all excess tissue. I have a feeling the disease is messing with my bowels, uterus, definitely, ovaries, and possibly my diaphragm.. This major excision surgery can go up to $10,000.. :( My father passed away in a motorcycle accident in 2009 and the bills are all on my mom and I.. we’ve suffered enough and this is just adding to it all. It’s ridiculous how SO many medical professionals are completely unaware of Endometriosis. It can take up to 6-8 years for most women to be diagnosed with this disease because of this. There has been cases where the endo has gone into the lungs and even the brain..I am not only asking for help with my medical bills but I am trying to spread awareness of this detrimental disease. Please, even a $1 helps.Thank you so much I hope you all have a blessed and magickal new year Nicole Sully
