Dianny's Stroke Recovery Journey

On June 21, 2017 Dianny suffered from a stroke leaving her right side paralyzed with needing surgery on her brain for her illness.
Dianny has been a life long resident of Caye Caulker island in Belize. She has a son named Tony, which is her inspiration to provide a great life for her and her son. She is a member of Belioness, which involves 19 women across Belize who make jewelry from lionfish fins, tails, and spines. This has given Dianny great opportunities in life. An ability to travel with her Belioness group, spread the word of their jewelry and using the lionfish as jewelry to stop the invasive species from threatening the livelihood of marine life in Belize's beautiful Barrier Reef.
As of now, she is in a hospital in Chetumal, Mexico getting treatment for her stroke and having surgery on her brain where the stroke happened.
It is early in her illness stages and the devastating effects of her stroke are not completely known. It is a long recovery period and medical expenses will start to add up as procedures and therapy are done to help reverse the effects of her stroke. Hopefully, with your donation we can help deter some of these costs from Dianny and her family so they can focus on her care and getting her home as soon as possible to her son.

I am a friend of Dianny, whom i met 12 years ago while travelling to Belize and have kept in contact with her and visited many times over the years. I can not be there to visit and help my friend but hope i can contribute with this site to help my friend and her family.
