In Memory of Diane Siko

Diane Siko not only was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, but most importantly she was a fighter. Diane was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare, invariably fatal brain disorder. It affects about one in every one million people per year worldwide and is a fast acting disease. Diane left behind a devoted husband of 30 years, a 20 year old daughter, Taryn and a 24 year old son, Tom. In order for Diane's husband to take care of her, he had to quit his job. It has been a financial struggle for the Siko family since Diane was diagnosed in December 2011 when she was in her early 50's. Although no amount of money could ever make up for the loss of Diane, we are hoping to reach 5,000 dollars to show the Siko family how much we love and support them in this time of suffering, although any amount will help. Thanks so much for your generosity during this incredibly hard time.

Taryn,

For the lucky ones of us who did get to meet your mother, we see where you got your kind heart and gentle soul. For those of us who didn't have the privilege of knowing her, we know that her legacy will live within you for the rest of time.
