My name is Diane Grissett. I'm 50 years old and a single parent with one child still at home.
I had been working a temporary job in food service, but had to leave in August because of health issues. I have also been looking for work in child care, but nothing has come my way. I have no income right now, just food stamps.
I'm asking for help to pay my rent for October, November and December. $400 will be enough to pay my back rent for three months.
Anything raised beyond $400 will go toward other basic necessities like clothes and food.
Your donation will help me and my son keep our home for the holidays, and have a warm and secure Christmas.
I am the Board President of Latino Union and I am the Vice President of the parent council at my son's school. Your donation will also help me continue this important work in the community.
