Back in 2008, Diane was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma), which she bravely battled by undergoing a bilateral mastectomy, removal of numerous lymph nodes, several rounds of chemotherapy, and taking a number of follow up maintenance drugs over the years.
She was fortunate to be considered cancer free up until July 2017 when she was once again diagnosed with breast cancer, this time metastatic (MBC) that had taken hold in her liver, lungs, and bones so far.
Diane has recently completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy as well as taken many other maintenance drugs in an effort to shrink the numerous tumors. Because modern medicine hasn’t yet made the advances to cure her, she has turned to Integrative Medical treatments, which has been working at fighting off the spread of the cancer in addition to helping her feel better. A day that she can feel somewhat “normal” is a huge blessing at this point.
Although health insurance has helped pay for many of the growing costs, Integrative Medicine is not covered by insurance and the costs are high. She typically pays about $900 a week in treatment and medicine costs.
This page was created by friends of Diane and her husband Rob with a goal to help them pay for some of those costs. If you are among the hundreds of people who've been asking for updates and how you might be able to help...this is how you can help.
Diane and Rob, have three wonderful children (Jake, Delaney, and Chloe) that are all currently in college, two out of state.
Anyone that knows Diane, knows that she is one of the most sweet, loving and caring people around. She can rarely be seen without a smile on her face, even as she is battling this terrible disease and keeping much of her pain hidden away.
Whether you know Diane as a family member, neighborhood friend, through Capo or Mission High School or as a member of TerraNova Church, we all know how lucky we are to have Diane, Rob and the kids in our lives.
Diane needs your help today.
In addition to the direct financial support you provide today, please share this page with anyone in your network who knows Diane, Rob or knows the family.
1. Share it on Facebook.
2. Email the link to your friends - even if they don't know the Goods personally.
We want to make sure everyone who has at least heard about Diane's cancer has a chance to help.
Finally, please use the comments section below to let Diane, Rob, and the kids know how much you care for them and are thinking of them as they fight Metastatic Breast Cancer. And prayers are always welcome!
