Diana is the wife of Tracy Carpenter for over 34 years. She is the mother of 5 children and 9 grandchildren, with one teenage son still at home. She was born in Franklin to Valdemar & Noemi Casitillo and raised in Smithfield Utah where she attended Sky View High School. Diana & Tracy have been teenage sweethearts since high school
Diana has been battling End-Stage-Liver-Disease for the past 3 years. She has many complications such as severe Diabetes, Pulmonary issues and internal bleeding. She was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. Cancer has an ominous benefit as it will raise her priority on the transplant list.
A liver transplant is Diana’s only hope for a life saving solution. Her priority will be raised on the liver transplant list in August due to the cancer. We are making every possible effort to have her prepared for a transplant in the early fall.
The financial burden to the family has been tremendous. The cost of insurance, deductibles, medication, co-pays and out of pocket expenses has been devastating. We are asking for help in raising the funds needed for the operation, as well as temporary living in Salt Lake City for 2-3 months after the operation to be near the Hospital. Post –Operative expenses will be over $2,000 per month.
