My fiance's nephew, Niko Decasaus, passed on Saturday August 23rd. He was only twenty-three years old. I hardly knew him personally, but I have heard he was a bright, compassionate light in our world. The kind of young man who makes friends everywhere he goes.
Niko was diagnosed with cancer in Janruary. With surgery and a cancer free body scan just three months ago he thought he beat it. Recently, Niko started feeling unwell and followed up with a Doctor. The results were that the cancer was back and they found blod clots in his lungs. He was sent home with recommendations to follow up the next Monday to discuss treatment options. Sadly he passed away at the movie theatre in the company of his little brother and friends on Saturday, three days later, unexpectedly.
As I said, he was my fiance's nephew. Her family was not prepared for the extra expenses to make the arrangements that follow a person's death. I feel like I have little to offer them on my own, but was hoping to raise money for Niko's mom, to help with the cost.
I have asked for $20,000. Whatever we raise over the cost of expenses I will give to the Ronald Mcdonald House in Loma Linda CA. Whatever you can give helps. God bless,
