Il gatto di mia zia non è solo un animale: è tutta la sua vita, la sua famiglia.

Da oltre un anno però la sua salute è un enigma. È stato visitato in più strutture, ha fatto tantissimi esami e ricevuto diagnosi diverse: problemi alla vescica, tiroide, cistite emorragica, fino ad arrivare a un sospetto disturbo neurologico. Ma ancora nessuna certezza.

Oggi la situazione è peggiorata: il gatto barcolla molto più di prima e le terapie non funzionano più.

L’unico esame che può dare finalmente una risposta è una risonanza magnetica dal costo di circa 500 euro, una cifra che per mia zia, da sola, è troppo alta da affrontare.

But for over a year, his health has been a painful mystery. He has been taken to several clinics, undergone countless tests, and received different possible diagnoses: bladder issues, thyroid problems, hemorrhagic cystitis, even a suspected neurological disorder. Yet still, no clear answer.

Now his condition has worsened: he staggers more than ever, and treatments no longer work.

The only test that can finally provide answers is an MRI scan, which costs about €500 — a sum that my aunt simply cannot manage on her own.
