Diagnosed with ASD, stroke, hole In heart
On May 25th 2020, I had a stroke(well 2 actually) with my left side going completely numb and my face in paralysis, admitted to the hospital for 3days 2nights where they found a hole in my heart...and I Was diagnosed with ASD (atrial septum defect).
It limits me tremendously taking my o2 saturation down to below an 80% at times taking minutes to recover back to low 90’s
I was referred down to Mayo Clinic and will have a multitude of test and ultimately a surgery of my heart to repair the hole in late October. I luckily have insurance but that only covers the procedures they will do. Not working since end of March my savings is all but depleted. Before Mayo will do anything I have to be up to date on my dental, and still have to live with my normal expenditures, rent and meds, along with the travel expenses of driving down to Rochester and staying for however long is yet to be determined.
Again I am lucky that they say I’ll be back to almost perfect health once the surgery is recovered from... but that’s if I am able to get up to par and afford the trip. I am having a hard even writing this as I don’t want to ask for help, but I want to get back to my old self, health, and full force creating my photography and art. Any little bit helps and I appreciate so greatly!
