I have never shared anything like this before, and I hope I never have to again, but a very dear friend of mine and fellow SCOTA member is in dire need.
Oscar Flores tragically lost his wife yesterday after being in a coma for nearly a month. We have created a go-fund me campaign on his behalf to try and raise funds for his wife's funeral expenses.
If you can find it in your heart to donate, no how matter how small the amount, it would make a world of difference. Oscar is one of the kindest individuals I have ever known, and I am proud to say that he is one of the best friends I have ever had. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed one, and I am going to do anything within my power to help him get through this.
SCOTA will be donating $500 to this campaign, and we will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from our club fund raising this coming Wednesday. Ordinarily this only open to dues-paying members, but we will open this up to anyone who attends in an effort to raise additional funds.
