Fuego Sagrado Botanica is nonprofit dedication to spiritual wellness and cultural education.

Our mission is to provide free resources such as literature, free classes and cultural events that empowers and positively impacts the lives those in need in our communities. The 2nd Annual Dia de Los Muertos Cultural Celebration is back at Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery-Gardena, Ca. Fuego Sagrado Botanica, in partnership with Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery -City of Gardena will be celebrating a day to honor the tradition of honoring our loved ones.

This year we will be bringing back Kike Flores and his Aztec Danza group Los Macehuales. Kike and his group been keeping the traditions of danza for over 20 years-making it available for the public to experience every Sunday at Plaza Mexico 5p -7p. They will be joining us with an Blessing and Danza. We are raising funds to take care the costs of traveling for the group, food, and water.

Xochitl Lacy will be building the community ofrenda once again with her heart and hands along with members of the community. A community ofrenda for Dia de los Muertos is a public altar where people can contribute photos and mementos of loved ones who have passed away to honor their memory. We will be raising funds to take care of the costs of art supplies, flowers, candles, and all items to create this years’ ofrendas.

In addition, to some exclusive guest artists, we will be bringing a talented photographer from Studio 76 Photography to professional photos. We will be raising money to cover the costs of her labor, traveling, and food.

Guest Catrina judges: Nayeli Alvarez and daughter. We are running a competition for Best Catrina and raising money to cover costs of traveling for makeup artists and our beautiful model judges.
