Bobie & Michelle's Support Fund

I would like you to meet Bobie. She is 20 years old, outgoing, energetic, hardworking and very responsible. She is a college student preparing to study nursing. She wants to be an RN. Prior to several weeks ago she was the very definition of health. In fact she had never had an IV or even blood work before. How quickly things can change. Bobie is the only child of Michelle, and saying her mother is devoted to her daughters wellbeing would be a tremendous understatement.

Several weeks ago Bobie started not feeling well and the medications that had been prescribed were not helping. On March 20th her symptoms became severe enough that it was necessary to go to the ER. She has been in the hospital in serious condition ever since. At this time her diagnosis is an unexplained kidney failure. Bobie has endured invasive procedures, countless needles, excruciating pain and even dialysis. Throughout all of this Bobie remains positive, optimistic and high-spirited. Her smile can brighten up any room. We anxiously await results of a biopsy, however regardless of the results, her treatment will be long and expensive.

Without a doubt Bobie is more scared than she has ever been. Her mother Michelle has remained at her side thru this whole ordeal and has no intentions of doing otherwise. Telling Michelle to return to work and let the nurses tend to Bobie would be like telling you that you are not allowed to breath. I know that any good parent understands. The devotion these two ladies have for one another will move the hardest man to tears. Both Bobie and Michelle are blessed with employers that are understanding, compassionate and helpful. Their jobs are secure; however vacation pay will quickly run out.

We have sadly come to the point when we must recognize that while life is basically at a standstill for Bobie and Michelle, the reality of life moves forward. Bills and obligations must be met even though the means for meeting those obligations has all but stopped.

We humbly ask for your help so these two amazing women can meet their financial obligations and remain together during this difficult time. Both of these women are extreemly financial responsible and the money will be used wisely and appropritately. There is no amount that is too small and words will never be able to express our gratitude. If by chance there is any funds left over when these two are able to return to a normal life it will be donated to a kidney research organization. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you and may God bless you!!
