Caelyn's Hockey Fund

My name is Caelyn Parker and I play Bantam AA female hockey in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been playing hockey since I was 6 years of age. My regular season home team in Nova Scotia is the Valley Wild, coached by Luke McCarthy.  Most recently in the Spring season, I played for the Nova Scotia Stars 2004 team out of Halifax, NS.  

I have now been invited by the Director of the North American Hockey Academy to play this December at the Junior Women's Hockey League competition in Ontario, Canada.  This is an amazing oportunity for me, given my goal to someday playing hockey at a high level (varsity/Team Canada).

In 2012, my mom had to stop working as a teacher because of illness and has not been able to return to work.  To help pay for my hockey, I have started my own business.  Things are going well with that, but there are a lot of start-up expenses.  I have contacted over 15 government/community organizations about a possible grant/loan, but they have all said I'm too young for any of their help (most you have to be 18-35).  Please check out my business at www.caelynscreations.ca or on Facebook.

I would be very appreciative of any financial support at this time to help pay for my hockey.  There are LOTS of great opportunites coming up in hockey and I really want to be there to help my teammates in the future.  I LOVE hockey and the friendships that I've made through it.  Hockey keeps me healthy and I enjoy competing every single time I'm on the ice!
