The Picnic Project is a non profit charity in Sanford, Florida. We feed a hot lunch to around 100 people every Sunday afternoon. We also provide bread and produce to go and clothing.
We are trying to raise the money to become a 501(c)(3) charity organization. This costs around $400 for the application process.
Being a 501(c)(3) would benefit us in several ways, but the most immediate would be the ability to shop at food banks with incredible discounts.
Any extra money raised would go towards the weekly cost of running the Picnic Project. Mostly, that means the food and drinks that we serve every Sunday, as well as plates, cups, etc.
The Picnic Project is a 100% volunteer organization. All money raised goes directly towards helping those in need.
