Cancer Treatment Expenses

Donation protected
Hello. This is my story of hearing a word that will forever change the lives of myself, wife holly and our son Eli.  On July 13, 2018 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Esophageal cancer.  After  a “gut feeling” from my wife, she immediately contacted Vanderbilt in Nashville Tennessee . Our mutual agreement to travel there has been our best decision ever( besides me asking her to marry me).
After receiving a good P.E.T. Scan ( cancer has not spread elsewhere) a tumor board of specialist determined that with Chemo, Radiation, and Surgery, hopefully I can be cancer free. The plan is 25 treatments of radiation mon- fri and chemo every Thur for 5 weeks. Then, a followup  ct scan and schedule a surgery ASAP to repair and mend up my esophagus and stomach.
All of this time away from home and both of us not working, unfortunately  the bills coming in don’t stop. After deciding to stay in Nashville for the utmost care and any complications associated with treatments our “new bills”are adding up fast for rental house, travel to appointments, food and gas, etc.
When all my treatments are completed and surgery performed, it will be approximately 6 to 8 months total time away from any stable income for the both of us. So, if anyone like us knows, that can be a significant loss of much needed money just to live and pay those everyday bills.
Holly, Eli and myself ask that the ones whom read this story, to take the time to put themselves in our shoes or one of their family members or friends that has dealt with the harsh times associated with cancer. By no means is this journey going to be a walk in the clouds, with our almighty God working through  the caretakers, the clouds are just a reach away. He has answered and will continue to acknowledge our needs and prayers as we proceed in our daily procedures.
The following is a small sign that is hanging in our rental house and is my way of thinking about my entire journey: don’t tell god that you have a big problem, tell your big problem that you have a big god. Much love to all from the Fisher family.
Please post and share this with family and friends; we need the continued prayers and support.
