At the beginning of year 2017, 4 year old Ivan was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. A sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops from certain tissues like fat, muscle, nerves, fibrous tissues.
A mass tumor developed above his eye which resulted in Ivan's inability to see. Necessary steps and procedures were taken to remove this tumor only to find another small mass recently developed November 2017.
Unfortunately due to this he’s been ordered to undergo another 40’s week of chemotherapy and radiation. Having this being the 2nd diagnosis for this year the extensive doctor visits, treatments, testing, overnight night stays and unexpected hospital visits have unfortunately, taken a huge financial toll.
At this time, we ask anyone that is able to donate even but a dollar to this family or let alone a positive prayer, it will be highly appreciated. Your donations will be used directly by the family to ease the burden of missed work for doctor visits, childcare, travel expenses to appointments, and unexpected stays in the hospital.
Both parents work to support their family, but these long stays, in addition to the costs of medical care, will also necessitate missed work. This will be an ongoing battle that will stretch out over 10 or so months. The need for the family will be immediate and it will be ongoing. The family is extremely grateful for any donations you may make on Ivan's behalf.
