Hello all,
My good friend and co-worker Carlos has a son, Carlos Jr., who recently broke his arm. As part of the medical evaluation of that injury, it was discovered that Carlos Jr. has a form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. Obviously this was a terrible surprise, who expects their 10 year old son to be diagnosed with cancer when being treated for a broken arm?
The family is devestated, but hopeful. Carlos Sr. is a beloved custodian at a BellaVista Elementary school in San Ramon and his wife has had to leave her job to help care for Carlos Jr. as he goes through what will be months of treatments. This will clearly result in not only an immense amount of concern and stress, but also financial strain as the costs incurred by a life changing event like this can be staggering.
We are reaching out to help raise money for Carlos and family during this time of hardship. Carlos gives so much in his role at the school; helping students, teachers and parents at every opportunity and Bella Vista benefits everyday from Carlos's hard work and dedication. Please join me in helping Carlos in his time of need.
We are trying to raise $7,500 over the course of the next 4 weeks to help minimize the impact of the impending medical bills and change to a single income family.
Carlos will begin incurring major medical bills within the next few weeks and the goal is to minimize the financial impact as much as possible so the family can focus on helping Carlos Jr. beat this horrible disease.
