Help ACE Continue Molding Our Youth Into Leaders!

Tax deductible

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Aviation Career Enrichment Inc.(ACE) during COVID-19, and any donation will help make an impact.   My name is, Patrick Alexander, and I currently serve as the Fleet Maintenance Manager and executive board member for ACE.   ACE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers flight training and exposure to aviation careers for youth ages 9 to 18 at Atlanta's Charlie Brown Airport.   My father, Julius Alexander, launched the ACE program in 1980 to address the low percentage of African Americans in the Aviation Industry, particularly among Airline Pilots.   He felt the low percentage was due to a lack of exposure.   Over the past 40 years, ACE has played a major role in exposing and increasing the percentages.   While African Americans comprise the majority of ACE's participants, the organization has positively impacted numerous youth of different ethnicities  and backgrounds throughout its 40 year history.  ACE graduates have gone on to become aerospace engineers, military pilots, airline pilots, corporate pilots, flight instructors, and other professional leaders in the aerospace industry.   The organization consists of an all volunteer staff of administrators, aircraft mechanics, and flight/ground instructors.    Over the years, ACE has received numerous awards and national recognition for its contribution to the community.    Most recently,  ACE was presented with the National Aviation Hall of Fame Spirit of Flight Award.
Here is why ACE needs your help...ACE owns and operates a fleet of five airplanes to fulfill its mission of Molding Proteges into Professionals.  In addition, it leases a large multi-room facility to conduct ground school and simulator training.  Unfortunately, due to the affects of COVID-19, ACE has completely shut down its operation and has been unable to generate any revenue to support its non-profit operation.  Moreover, with  the uncertainty that exists with this  virus, we are unsure as to when we will be able to start up our operation again, and the affects it will have on our new normal.   It is very important to the ACE family and our supporters that we survive this pandemic so we can continue to serve our youth and community.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this worthy cause that means so much to the youth we serve.   Captain Patrick Alexander, 1983 ACE graduate.
