DFACS dropped the ball & Mental Illness is a BEAST!

A grandmother's worst nightmare. We are trying to deal with the death of our precious 4-year-old, a twin who was taken from us. On the Eve of Thanksgiving, my daughter's mental illness destroyed our entire family and the additional seven families who are now homeless during the Holiday season. Everything leading up to this moment could’ve been avoided had DFACS done their job & followed proper protocol. My precious 4-year-old granddaughter was killed by her mother, and the apartment was set on fire. The other 4-year-old(her twin sister) was left in the burning apartment to perish along with her sister. An angel( the family will thank personally in time) saved my granddaughter from the blaze.

The signs were visible in our family for many, many months. I tried to avoid this horrific tragedy, yet here we are. I contacted DFACS on numerous occasions regarding this matter, and they failed my granddaughters.

I know many have reached out asking how they can help and what they can do. Any support is welcomed and deeply appreciated as we move forward during this difficult time. Our goal is to help support my granddaughter, who I am now the sole guardian of. To ensure her granddaughter and I receive the required intense therapy. It will also help properly plan a memorial in the name of my precious granddaughter, that passed away

. My most critical goal is to advocate for mental illness and children in hopes of preventing a tragedy like this from happening in someone else's family. Thank you for being so supportive & continue to keep us lifted in prayer. We sincerely need
