Who I'm raising money for:
My name is Devonte’ McCoy.
God knows of the difficulties I have had over the past 10 years and I am grateful for any help I can receive. Ten years ago, my beloved mother died, and I have been living with my wonderful and caring grandparents since then. Almost 4 years ago, I experienced some discomfort in my body and had to be hospitalized during the time that I was attending college in Florida. After much testing, I was diagnosed with hypertension and found out that my kidneys were only functioning at 40%. I have been able to finish college, and although I have tried to work, my kidney functioning is now at such a low point that I need dialysis three times each week.
I have been told I need a kidney transplant. I am a caring, determined individual who likes to do for others. I would be the one to give someone my last few dollars (which I have done) rather than taking anything for myself. But, now it’s me who needs help. I have someone who is willing to donate a kidney to me, but I know that Insurance will not take care of all the expenses that come with getting a transplant. There are going to be so many additional costs that I know will be hard, if not impossible, to cover. I also lost my car due to an electrical fire of my 2006 Kia Optima. Which was my only way to and from Dialysis, Please help me by donating anything that you can, and I promise, that once I get well, I will be the one helping others.
Anything left over will be donated to the American Kidney Foundation.
