<div>Hi, I'm Charlene ("Cher") Alberto, a singer-songwriter, playwright, and the creator of SOL, an original musical developed in the Bay Area.

<div>What began as an idea in 2020 has grown into a fully realized original work featuring an original score, a dedicated creative team, and an expanding community of supporters who believe in the power of storytelling through music and theater.

<div>SOL is a story about family, immigration, resilience, identity, and the experience of navigating two cultures. Inspired by Filipino-American experiences, the musical explores themes of sacrifice, belonging, generational relationships, and the journey of finding one's place between heritage and opportunity. Through music influenced by both contemporary and traditional sounds, SOL celebrates the richness of culture while telling a story that audiences from all backgrounds can connect with.

<div>Today, SOL is entering its most exciting chapter yet.

<div>Following successful developmental presentations, the SOL team is now preparing for a larger-scale San Francisco production. This next chapter will bring together a professional cast, musicians, creative team, and expanded production resources as we continue building SOL toward future regional, touring, and licensing opportunities.

<div>This next phase requires significant investment. SOL's upcoming production and development efforts represent more than $200,000 in production and artistic development costs. Through this campaign, we hope to raise funds that will directly support venue expenses, artist and musician compensation, production materials, marketing, recordings, and the continued growth of the musical.
