TS Britta Refit and Restoration.

The boat TS Britta is a key aspect of the TS Britta Community Sail Training Organisation.

Currently docked at Porth Penrhyn in Bangor, TS Britta is undergoing major refit work for the next 10-12 months.

All funds that are received will go into the refit of the boat and the development of the organization.


A lot of time and energy has already been invested in the acquisition of the boat, the refit, and the development of this community-focused sail training organization. We’re incredibly grateful for your donations and support.

The shipwright work and resealing / caulking of the deck are the current major works being carried out on board. Other projects include work on the masts and reinstatement of the bunks in the saloon.

In return for your support, TS Britta Sail Training is offering free berths for sail training and charter once operational.   

Another way to support the project is through volunteering. There are opportunities to learn all about the workings of the boat and enjoy later maybe some finishing touches like paint and varnish in southern warmer waters.



The shipwright work of frames, clamps, and resealing/caulking the deck are the major works being carried out onboard in Penrhyn Dock.    Much money already spent on the acquisition and current work already being carried out.

Our Sail Training programs are designed to facilitate character building and essential boat crew and skippering skills. Our programs are available to all, regardless of age, background, or ability.
