Devan Temple's Funeral

Devan passed away on the morning of August 31, 2018. He was an amazing young man who suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystophy. The disease itself is actually the reason that our two paths crossed. I was volunteering for a summer camp in 2009 when I was paired with Devan as my camper. We had a great week and our relationship grew from there into a brotherhood. I watched him first graduate high school then graduate from the very camp that we had met at. As hard as this disease tried over the last twenty three years to keep him down it could not. His warm smile and positive attitude were addicting. I am raising money in order to help his family lay him to rest. The total funeral cost is $11,250. He was denied life insurance due to his preexisting medical condition. We will simply never get to repay him for all that he has done for each of us. Thank you!
