The A.C.E. Fund

Tax deductible
Best-selling author Mitch Albom, Huntington Bank, Walker-Miller Energy Services and Metro Solutions have partnered with the Detroit Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship to host the COVID-19 Artist Crisis Relief Fund to help local arts & cultural workers.

As the City of Detroit, Wayne and Oakland counties work overtime to help all residents who have lost jobs or income—this fund benefits artists who live from gig to gig.

Slaw Stanislawski is one of those artists, and his heart as big as his talent. He said since he couldn’t donate to the fund, he would instead donate two photographs and 10 prints from his latest series of works.

“COVID-19 has been devastating to us all,” Stanislawski said. “I decided to donate my work because I’ve been looking for a way to contribute to help others.

Stanislawski’s works will be available for auction through the Fund’s fiduciary, Metro Solutions. If you want to bid, send your donation directly to Metro Solutions, 8000 W. Nine Mile Rd. Suite 360, Southfield, MI 48075. Metro Solutions in the fiduciary for the A.C.E. Fund.

All donations are tax-deductible. The highest bidders will receive the photographs and prints. All proceeds (because we couldn’t convince Slaw otherwise) will benefit the A.C.E. Fund.

The A.C.E. Fund will provide unrestricted cash grants to help artists who:

• Have lost wages and earnings
• Need reimbursement for conference and travel losses
• Need funds for medical expenses, rent or mortgage payments, food and utilities, and other living expenses.

Our initial goal for the campaign is $50,000, but is expected to exceed that thanks to initial investments from the Huntington Bank Foundation, Walker-Miller Energy Services, Mitch Albom and Rochelle Riley, Director of Arts and Culture for the city.  Anyone and everyone can also donate to the A.C.E. Fund by sending a check to Metro Solutions. Write A.C.E. Fund in the memo line. All donations are tax-deductible.
