Destin's Fight

On August 30th, 2017, my 6 year old brother, Destin Cook, was admitted to Rady's Children's Hospital for unknown, excessive bleeding through his nose and mouth.  After 6 episodes of the bleeding, losing at least 13oz of blood each time, he has been given 3 blood transfusions and has had multiple invasive surgeries which resulted in finding blood in his lungs from lesions that have since been coiled.  The source of the bleeding is still unknown, they believe it may be a deformity of his veins, but still do not have definitive results.  As of today, he is in a medically induced coma and still undergoing tests and procedures.  My family and I would greatly appreciate first and foremost prayers for answers, strength, and a quick recovery.    He is right now considered a mystery and extremely rare diagnosis.  My dad has been out of work for the last five days and will be for quite some time until the doctors get this figured out.  Any contributions will help offset some of the costs of everyday living for my dad, whose a single parent, and Destin and hopefully help cover some of the medical expenses.  I will continue to update all of you as more information becomes available.  Thank you all for the continued love and support.
