If you know anyone who is dealing with a mental illness, you know how expensive it can be and how much it can pull a family apart. 13 years ago we adopted a precious little girl from the state of Louisiana's foster care system. Everything was perfect! Then, at age 5, she started with some extreme behaviors. By age 6 she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder and ADHD. For the past 7 years we have been dealing with doctors, counselors, hospitals, fighting school criteria and dealing with the uncontrollable explosive behaviors that no child should ever have to experience. So far, medication has not helped enough to stabilize her brain function. In March, after 4 hospital stays in less than one school year, I had to leave my job to stay home with her due to anxiety so high that she couldn't attend school. Nothing seemed to be helping!!! Until we heard some information on BrainCore Therapy and how it is helping people just like our daughter. We researched the therapy and of course, it is not covered by any insurance. We have paid for her first three months of therapy and are beginning to see improvements! The cost of three months of therapy is $5000. We desperately want to continue her treatment but need your help. Our goal is to raise the $5000 to cover the next 3 months of treatment. With your help and God's grace, we will be able to get our little girl to a more stable brain function. It is heartbreaking to watch any family go through this and we pray every day for all families with members suffering in silence with mental illness and the lack of awareness in our communities.
