Send MA Scientific team to DI Globals!
My name is Nicky Thomas, I am part of a team of five from Lexington and Needham MA , that placed first at both the regional and the state level competition conducted by Destination Imagination for the Scientific category - "Medical Mystery" and have been invited to represent Massachusetts at the global competition to be held in Kansas City, Missouri between May 22nd-26th.
We have been participating in this educational competition for three years now, and have won regionals , then state levels and qualified to participate in globals every year to date. The pictures above show some of the technical and creative pieces we designed and built for the challenge. I know, pretty cool right?
The judges thought so too.... We were awarded the Renaissance Award for technical design both this year and last. Our team works very hard at this. We dedicate all of our Saturdays during the school year working on this effort and feel good about our chances at globals.We're looking forward to representing our state. But we need some help!
We’re trying to find funding for this years competition and could use some help to get us there. Please consider supporting us on this adventure. We will use your donations to pay our registration fees, lodging, travel expenses, and food.
