Farewell Sweet Buddy

Meet Byron (known to many as Bud or Buddy), a talented musician in both instrumental and vocal music, who loves spending time with his family and friends, and brightens up the world with his beautiful smile and laugh. After attending college, and getting a degree in management of information systems, he applied those talents to corporate recruiting to help match talent and companies together. All was going well, until 2015 with his first run in with cancer, a very rare form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He went through 6 rounds of chemotherapy over 6 months and the cancer responded well. He went about living his life until May of this year, when he relapsed. After several trips to the ER for the unexplainable pain in his back, he learned the cancer was back, and aggressive this time. Masses and tumors were growing up his spinal column, first debilitating his right leg and a few weeks later his left leg. This battle had included a 6-way laminectomy on his back followed by a different cocktail of chemotherapy drugs. He had 4 rounds and was in remission, until about a week ago when an infection and new scan showed the lymphomas had returned. 

Despite a new round of chemotherapy treatments, he was was not able to improve and was moved to the ICU. On Saturday, September 1, 2018, Buddy died peacefully in his sleep.

Bud loved his family, his friends, and traveling. He loved fiercely, and he fought this battle fiercely. In his memory, we hope to raise money to help his family lay him to rest, pay off any outstanding medical bills, and hopefully, fund a music scholarship in his name to keep his memory alive.
