I’ve been unable to walk since June, diagnosed this September with MND (motor neurones disease) which is constantly progressing. Our home isn’t suitable, adaptations want us to find a more suitable home but none are coming up and it’s a race against time. I’m trapped in my home unable to leave, wheelchair services won’t issue the electric wheelchair needed as the doors are too narrow to fit through. The garden is impossible for a chair to be taken out of and I’m really struggling to have any quality of life. We need to make adjustments ourself to the garden and raise money for a wheelchair. We had to give up our jobs due to the condition. My husband is registered disabled with his back and I have autism.
Everything feels very bleak with a scary future ahead. If we can raise money towards a chair and garden work, being able to leave the house would give us things to look forward to. Time is against us, I hope you can help!
With love, Karen xx
