Help us get these dogs out of hell

Friends... I need help.

Yesterday we heard about a rescue in Quintana Roo that was a hoarding situation where the dogs were not being cared for from a former volunteer. She claimed that they were living in kennels 24/7 without food and water and that the. We went to check it out by pretending to be interested in adopting a dog.

When we arrived it was worse than we thought... the dogs were in horrible condition.

I truly have never seen anything like it... one dog was kept in a crate and he was covered in large mattes and his own feces and pee. He jumped on my leg and I was covered in poo...

Their nails were so long, it’s clear they do not leave their kennels, as walking around naturally trims dogs nails.

Most of them had a skin infection, usually from living in feces. They were so skinny and looked like they were starving.

Most of the dogs live in kennels, 2,3 or even 4 dogs crammed into one kennel.
When the “rescuer” went inside, I opened the door to where the bulk of the dogs were coming from, and the smell was so horrible, it was like a wall hitting me in the face.

She would let the dogs out 2 or 3 at time and they would RUN to the “water” buckets as if they had not drank in days. The water buckets were filthy and one was covered in paint.

At one point I saw her bring a dog food bowl out from the room and it was covered in feces...

I’m literally shocked and it took everything in my body not to freak out, but we needed to get photographic evidence and stay calm to help theses babies.

I’m open to all ideas/thoughts and would LOVE if you could share with your networks and MAYBE it will reach someone who can help... because I’m truly at a loss of what to do. We are reaching out to shelters in Quintana Roo for help but so far everyone is overwhelmed. There is no government agencies to call here. A few years ago a law was put in place to prosecute animal abusers, unfortunately it’s not taken seriously and the police will not involve themselves.

We are currently trying to find a vet and raise some money to pay them to go into the house are check the dogs out medically... if anyone knows a vet or anyone that can help PLEASE reach out to me... we are so desperate and every second goes by they are suffering.

Other than that, we are trying to brainstorm ways to figure out how to get these babies out... we need space, volunteers, foster homes, forever homes... Please bare with me while we try to figure this out and SPREAD THE WORD, but please also use discretion as we cannot let the rescue in question find out that we are working to get the animals out. Complicated and delicate situation.
