Desperate Help for Lily's Education

The July 27th deadline is right around the corner and we are desperate! I was recently very ill because of a tumor in my breast and had surgery to remove it. I’ve been struggling to recover since October from all of the things the doctors found. We’ve always been able to pay the remaining balance on our daughter Lily’s college tuition, but the medical bills from the surgery have really set my family back financially. Now, we don’t even have the funds in our savings to cover a mandatory prerequisite we just found out Lily must take this summer before the fall semester begins.
We were told if her tuition is not paid in full by July 27th, Lily will not be able to go back to school until it is paid. If that happens, she will lose her scholarship despite her high grades.
For the past two years she has received a grant and a partial scholarship. However, we were caught completely off guard when we found out neither her grant or scholarship will pay for the prerequisite. The funds from each were used up to pay for the school year, so there is no more money to cover the mandatory class. This couldn’t have happened at a worse time!
This situation has us all beyond stressed and worried. The last thing any of us wants is for her to get kicked out of school over a financial problem, especially when she is a straight A student on the Dean’s List and has just completed her second year in college. We have always told her that all we want is for her to study hard and finish school so that she could have a good life.
We are begging you all to show some compassion and help Lily stay in school. She is extremely dedicated to her studies and loves what she studies--it’s her dream to become a veterinarian. She’s been working very hard since her very first day, and is also very involved in the student body. She was even elected Class President this past year!
Our daughter’s education and future are extremely important to us. It just wouldn’t be fair for her to not be able to continue her studies and lose her scholarship just because of a financial problem, especially after all of the work and dedication she has put into school.
We can’t imagine seeing our daughter not be able to finish her studies, so any contribution you could offer would be a huge blessing and deeply appreciated!
