If you've never watched ducks swimming, you've missed out on tranquility. If you've never seen them running, you've missed out on the fun!
There is currently a "duck plague" called viral Enteritis affecting the ducks in Desert Shores. It has killed most of the muscovy ducks, and the populations of other species are threatened as well, including other waterfowl like geese and swans.
But there is hope! A vaccine against Enteritis is available for sale to the public, but I need help paying for it. With your help, we can rid the area of this deadly virus and protect future generations of ducks. This money goes towards shipping the vaccine and the vet to administer it. Volunteers have offered to help take the ducks to the vet.
