Desafío: Deca Continuous World Championship

Me llamo Aixa, mamá de un niño inteligente y ocurrente de 9 años, quien ha sido el principal motor en mi vida. Mi pasión por el triatlón de largas distancias me llevó a romper un Record Mundial en un Triple Ironman  en Octubre 2019 (el cual sigue vigente). Ese resultado me ha abierto la oportunidad de participar en el Deca Continuous World Championship, que se llevará a cabo en Suiza,  en Agosto de este año. En que consiste?  Completaré de forma continua:  38km de nado, 1,800km de ciclismo y finalmente 422km corriendo. La carrera, que equivale a 10 Ironmans, tiene un tiempo máximo de 14 días para completarlo.

Es un desafío muy grande, donde llevaré mi cuerpo y mi mente al límite. Me encanta ese reto! Estaré compitiendo contra las mejores de ultra triatlón a nivel mundial, y estoy determinada a dejar El Salvador en alto, buscando no solo quedar en primer lugar de la carrera, sino romper un nuevo Record Mundial en esa distancia.

Como pueden imaginar, los costos para participar en esta carrera son bastante altos. Es por eso que estoy solicitando el apoyo de ustedes para que me ayuden a cumplir ese sueño.

My name is Aixa, mom to a smart and creative 9-year-old boy who has been the main inspiration in my life. My passion for ultra triathlon guided me to break and currently hold the World Record in the Triple Ironman distance (three ironmans in 3 days) in October 2019. Because of this result, I was invited to participate in the Deca Continuous World Championship, which will take place in Switzerland in August of this year. What does this mean? I will complete all the triathlon disciplines in a continuos manner:  24 mi of swimming, followed by  1,120 mi of cycling, and ending with a 262 mi run. The entire race, which is the length of 10 Ironmans, needs to be completed in a maximum of 14 days. 

In this enormous challenge I will take my body and mind to the limit. This thought fascinates me!  As I will be competing against the best ultra triathletes in the world, I am determined to put El Salvador's name up high by not only arriving in first place, but also breaking a new World Record.

As you may imagine, the costs incurred in participating in this race are high. That is why I am asking for your support to help me make that dream come true.
