<div>Our 23 yr old son, Derrick, recently experienced a traumatic brain injury. On September 5th, he fell three stories, landing head-first on concrete. It was a miracle that a stranger found him and called an ambulance. Right after the accident, he had emergency surgery to remove a large section of his fractured skull and blood clots in his brain. Unfortunately, there are still remaining clots and head injuries. Right now, he's still unconscious, but there are moments when he can move his arms and legs and respond to what we say. The full extent of his injuries are unknown.

<div>Derrick is such a responsible and loving young man. He is the most disciplined person we know when it comes to health and financial responsibility, learning daily and putting it into action. He even bought a house a few months ago at such a young age. Recently engaged, they have been excited to plan their wedding. Seeing Derrick lose his health and the financial stability he worked so hard to achieve has been heartbreaking.

<div>We've set up this GoFundMe campaign to help cover Derrick's extensive medical bills, surgeries, treatments, and therapy expenses. It’s been difficult to set a fundraising goal because recovery expenses can range from $100,000 to $3 million. Every dollar raised will go towards his recovery.
