Derrick Vigo Sr. Memorial Arrangments

Derrick A. Vigo was quite a character in many different ways, but he was always the best father and husband he could be.  No matter what, he was always happy and excited to see mom and I. On December 26th 2020 he passed away from COVID and the pain that me and my family are feeling is unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. For the past couple of years he was struggling with diabetes, a major stroke, and neuropathy in his legs making walking for him very difficult or near impossible. I knew that he was suffering and was miserable and that it wasn’t the way he intended for his last years of life on this earth to be. But whenever he saw my mother or me he always had a smile on his face. He may have made a lot of bad decisions in life, but I know he did it with good intentions of giving his family the best. My father always had a big heart, and he always tried to do right for those he loved. I always looked up to him in that regard and I always will. You were the best father and husband you could be and for that I will always appreciate everything you did for us because I know it was out of love. I know you’re smiling down on us and I know you’ll always have our backs as we continue to live our lives. Thank you for being the most influential person in my life next to mom. You were an amazing man, an amazing husband, and an amazing father. I love you and you will always be in my heart. Thank you dad. Rest In Paradise Derrick Avigain Vigo.
