UPDATE: Brent, Amber, and the girls have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and generosity from their libertarian family. They have decided that anything donated above what they need will go directly towards assisting other locals who need a hand up - due to Hurricane Florence - through the LCDR non-profit.

Last year, when Houston was expecting catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Harvey, libertarian activist Brent DeRidder posed the question "If not for government, then who?" His answer was to form a disaster relief network of libertarians who had boots on the ground in hurricane disaster zones for months to follow.
Unfortunately, Brent was in the path of Hurricane Florence and is in need of assistance himself, now. He and his family evacuated to another state - and they are safe - but they could really use some financial assistance to get their life back in order.
